Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Scott Larkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Scott Larkin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, James Lee! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee gets in close and instigates a clinch. Lee gets control of Larkin's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lee will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Larkin drops back looking for a leg! Lee is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lee manages to kick Larkin off! Larkin jumps back into Lee's guard. Larkin stays in close to Lee's body and controls the position. Larkin looking to pass the guard. Larkin wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Larkin tries to free his leg and advance position but Lee is retaining full guard. Larkin trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom. Lee pulls Larkin in close to his closed guard and prevents Larkin from doing any damage or advancing position.
We're going to have a standup here because Scott Larkin wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Larkin takes a jab right on the kisser.
It looks like Scott Larkin has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Lee. No joy for Larkin on that attempt. Lee will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Larkin is trying to pull guard but Lee turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Larkin fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scott Larkin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Larkin has Lee pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Larkin pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Lee tumbling to the mat - Larkin dives into Lee's guard. Larkin tries to free his leg and advance position but Lee is retaining full guard. Lee is trying to keep Larkin in close.
Larkin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lee swivels though and keeps the full guard. Larkin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Lee sneaks back into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Larkin trying to control the action but Lee is working from the bottom. Lee tries to roll over but Larkin keeps him under control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Larkin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lee doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Larkin. Larkin is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Lee looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Larkin passes to side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Larkin has knee on belly and moves into mount. Larkin seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Lee is holding on tight.
Larkin moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Lee has worked his arm free - good work by Lee!
Larkin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Larkin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Larkin passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Lee! Lee is looking to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Larkin takes Lee's back. Larkin is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Lee is defending well though. Larkin let's go of the attempt for now. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Larkin is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Lee taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Larkin.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Scott Larkin! A very excited looking Scott Larkin rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
