Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slobovic lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Donk. Slobovic catches Tsoi right on the button with a cross.
Slobovic misses with a series of wild punches.

Slobovic throws a jab but it's blocked by Tsoi.
Slobovic tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tsoi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Slobovic looks to land a combination but Tsoi avoids it well.
Slobovic misses with a low kick.
Tsoi looks to throw the jab but Slobovic is out of range.

Tsoi feints and as Slobovic raises his hands in defense, Tsoi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Slobovic looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Tsoi drops back looking for a leg! Slobovic is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Slobovic manages to kick Tsoi off! Tsoi jumps back into Slobovic's guard.
Slobovic is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Tsoi is fighting to break Slobovic's control of his arms but Slobovic is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Slobovic is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Slobovic is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Igor Slobovic hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Sloppy strikes from Slobovic. Those never looked like landing.
Slobovic throws a series of punches but Tsoi moves out of range.
Slobovic tries to bum rush Tsoi with a series of wild strikes but Tsoi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Slobovic manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tsoi on his heels. He'll look to pass Tsoi's guard now, I'm sure.

Tsoi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Slobovic defends well.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Slobovic got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tsoi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Slobovic has managed to get both his arms back between Tsoi's legs - danger averted.

Tsoi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Tsoi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Slobovic can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tsoi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Slobovic swivels and escapes.

Tsoi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Tsoi passes Slobovic's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Slobovic is looking to improve his position.
