Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cory McDanver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spider Trenton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cory McDanver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Spider Trenton!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDanver shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Trenton but Trenton pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cory McDanver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McDanver misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
McDanver closes the distance and clinches.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
McDanver has Trenton pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Trenton manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cory McDanver. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Trenton has had enough of the clinch but McDanver keeps him there for the moment.
Trenton wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
McDanver has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Trenton after a bit of a struggle.
McDanver has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Trenton is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
McDanver fails to pull guard.
McDanver jumps guard but Trenton stands there with McDanver around his waist. McDanver gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
McDanver changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Trenton fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Trenton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Trenton scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Trenton misses with a two punch combination.
Trenton cracks McDanver with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Trenton fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nice takedown defense from Trenton. No joy for McDanver on that attempt.
Trenton dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

McDanver gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
enabling Trenton to counter with a crisp jab.
McDanver changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Trenton tries to avoid it but McDanver manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Trenton to the ground. Trenton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Trenton stuns McDanver with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Good standup being displayed there by Trenton as he connects with a hook.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Trenton!
Trenton throws a good cross that connects.
McDanver shoots in for a takedown but Trenton shows good takedown defense.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Trenton lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

McDanver is breathing heavily.
Trenton will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

McDanver shoots in but Trenton avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Spider Trenton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Trenton misses the shot to the body.
McDanver will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Trenton lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
McDanver has a takedown stuffed.
McDanver takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Trenton lands with an overhand left.
McDanver takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
McDanver is rocked!
McDanver tries to clinch but Trenton is having none of it.
Oh McDanver is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McDanver defending well as Trenton loads up on a big left hand.
McDanver seems to have got his legs back now.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for McDanver. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
A cross from Trenton lands.
Trenton is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! McDanver had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Trenton lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
McDanver fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Trenton throws a one two combo.
McDanver throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Trenton's waist but Trenton gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McDanver off to one side.

McDanver uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Trenton.
McDanver takes one on the chin but seems OK.
McDanver walks into a left hand.

Trenton thuds a left hand into McDanver's body.

McDanver looks for a takedown but Trenton sprawls well.
Trenton lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Trenton connects with a combination that backs up McDanver into the cage. Trenton lands a flurry of punches that gets past McDanver's guard. McDanver is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Trenton bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Spider Trenton!
