Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dean Corcoran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xavier Folsom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corcoran's entrance music is Lonely Boy. A fine choice. Folsom has chosen Hightower Is Mad as his entrance music. Xavier Folsom will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dean Corcoran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Xavier Folsom! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corcoran shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Folsom as he avoids it easily. Folsom swings for the body but Corcoran moves out of range.
Folsom keeps the fight on the outside. Folsom throws a sloppy head kick and Corcoran moves out of range easily. Corcoran scores with a three punch combo!
Folsom misses with a wild combination.
Dean Corcoran seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Corcoran closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Corcoran is staying tight to Folsom's torso, preventing him from escaping. Corcoran tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Corcoran has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Corcoran is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Folsom has escaped the position, nice work there. Folsom is trying to control Corcoran's posture but Corcoran avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Folsom gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Corcoran wants to lay and pray for a moment but Folsom keeps working. Corcoran wants to stand up but Folsom is controlling the position.
Folsom wants to get back to full guard. Corcoran seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Corcoran is thwarting Folsom's attempts to control the position. Corcoran prevents Folsom from improving his position. Corcoran is trying to control. Folsom wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Folsom slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Corcoran looking to sit in guard and control but Folsom gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Folsom trying to control the position from guard on top but Corcoran is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Corcoran manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Corcoran sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Corcoran raining down shots from the mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corcoran sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Folsom tries to hold on but Corcoran pushes him away. Corcoran tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Corcoran tries to control but Folsom wriggling away. Folsom sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Corcoran is looking to advance position but Folsom won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dean Corcoran. Corcoran is looking to clinch but Folsom is avoiding it.

Nice sprawl there from Folsom as Corcoran shoots in. Folsom stuffs the takedown attempt from Corcoran. Corcoran gets slowly back to his feet. Corcoran pushes Folsom against the cage but Folsom circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Corcoran fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Corcoran is breathing heavily. Folsom scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Folsom thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Folsom trying to control the position but Corcoran is working away. Corcoran wants to get back to his feet but Folsom drags him back down. Corcoran tries to improve position but can't. Folsom trying to control the action but Corcoran is working from the bottom. Folsom is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Folsom cracks Corcoran with a big elbow.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Corcoran defending against the ground and pound. Corcoran pushes Folsom away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Folsom gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Folsom trying to control the action but Corcoran is working from the bottom. Folsom scoring with punches and elbows. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Corcoran is trying to buck Folsom off. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Folsom sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Corcoran is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Folsom is looking to take a break and control but Corcoran is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Corcoran parries the strikes from Folsom easily there. Folsom is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Corcoran to escape.
Corcoran is trying to buck Folsom off. Corcoran manages to work his way to half guard, despite Folsom's best efforts.

Folsom is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Xavier Folsom was stalling too much, according to the referee. Corcoran fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Folsom avoids it really well and circles away. Folsom lands a jab to the head.

That's nine minutes gone in the round. Folsom tries to break free but Corcoran pushes him back against the cage. Folsom tries a body shot but Corcoran blocks it.

Folsom has Corcoran pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Folsom pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Corcoran tumbling to the mat - Folsom dives into Corcoran's guard. Folsom trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Corcoran keeping moving, preventing Folsom from controlling successfully. Folsom loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dean Corcoran will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Corcoran has his takedown stuffed and Folsom counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Folsom lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Folsom throws a nice looking combination but Corcoran bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Corcoran misses with a takedown attempt - Folsom sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Corcoran fails in his attempt to clinch. Folsom misses with a body shot.

Corcoran tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Folsom paws at him with a jab and circles away. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Corcoran is defended easily by Folsom. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dean Corcoran. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horrible takedown by Corcoran or perhaps it was just good defense by Folsom which made him look bad. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Folsom jabs Corcoran right on the nose. Corcoran blinks but takes it well. Corcoran walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Corcoran putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Folsom in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Corcoran throws an elbow but it misses.

Folsom can't do much from the bottom here. Corcoran tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Folsom is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Corcoran off and has taken his back!

Corcoran drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Folsom manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Corcoran has Folsom in his guard. Folsom throws a big right hand that misses.

Folsom must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Corcoran wriggles free and stands up. Nice straight punches there by Folsom. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Folsom. Folsom fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Folsom keeps the fight on the outside. A jab from Folsom finds it's way through Corcoran's defenses. Nice takedown defense from Folsom. No joy for Corcoran on that attempt. Corcoran is trying hard to land a takedown here. Folsom sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Folsom rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Corcoran moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Folsom is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Folsom scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Folsom misses with the combination.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Xavier Folsom. I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
