Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matias rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Silva counters with an outside leg kick.
Silva shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Matias napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
An elbow from Silva crashes against the mat.
Matias tries to improve position but can't.
Silva throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Silva working away.
Silva trying to control the position but Matias is working away.
Silva scores with a couple of short elbows.
Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Matias keeps working.
Matias tries to improve position but can't.
Matias tries to escape but Silva is in control.
Matias tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Silva wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Silva tries to move into full mount but can't pass Matias's legs.

Matias tries to buck Silva off but Silva is having none of it.
Silva wants to control but Matias is keeping him busy.
Matias is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Silva's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Matias wants to improve his position but Silva is controlling well.
Matias is looking to control Silva's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Matias avoid being mounted?
Matias moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Silva trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Matias keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Silva is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Matias is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Matias working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Silva won't allow Matias to sweep him here.
Matias will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Matias looking for a triangle here. Silva is fighting it but it looks tight! Matias pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Silva is tapping out - this one is all over!
