Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matheus Modesti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Araujo Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Araujo Santos has chosen 300 Violin Orchestra - Jorge Quintero as his entrance music. Julio Araujo Santos will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Modesti closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Araujo Santos's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Modesti has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Araujo Santos is proving hard to escape from.
Modesti stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Araujo Santos gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Modesti counters by moving into the clinch.
Modesti works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Modesti is looking to work some ground and pound but Araujo Santos has wrist control.
Araujo Santos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Modesti can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Modesti has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Araujo Santos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Modesti gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Araujo Santos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Modesti doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Modesti manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Modesti will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Araujo Santos is defending against the submission attempts here by Modesti.

Modesti landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Modesti escapes and gets back to his feet.
Modesti looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Modesti sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Araujo Santos's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Araujo Santos is staying active underneath Modesti, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Modesti is just content to waste time from the top position. Araujo Santos takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Araujo Santos is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Araujo Santos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Modesti gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Modesti wants to control from the top but Araujo Santos keeps moving.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Modesti drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Araujo Santos dives on top into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Matheus Modesti will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Araujo Santos shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Modesti pinned against the cage. Modesti gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Modesti tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Araujo Santos swivels and escapes.
Modesti has Araujo Santos up against the cage in a clinch.
Modesti has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Araujo Santos clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Modesti working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Modesti has got his arm under Araujo Santos's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Araujo Santos has spun round into Modesti's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
Modesti has his foot on Araujo Santos's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Araujo Santos works his way back into a safe position though.
Modesti really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Araujo Santos postures up in Modesti's guard and throws a big left but Modesti blocks it.
Araujo Santos works over Modesti with some ground and pound from guard.
Modesti is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Araujo Santos dives into side control.

Araujo Santos has an Americana. Modesti didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Araujo Santos is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Araujo Santos hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
