A fine choice. Khal Drago had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 17 - 1, fighting out of New York, Khal Drago!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Joseph!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Roberts and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Drago. No joy for Joseph on that attempt.
Joseph shoots in for a double leg but Drago sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Joseph slips a jab and a cross from Drago.
Joseph shoots for a takedown but Drago saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Khal Drago has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Joseph.

Joseph shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Drago sprawls well. Drago wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Joseph gets slowly back to his feet.

Khal Drago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horrible takedown by Joseph or perhaps it was just good defense by Drago which made him look bad.

Joseph gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Drago regains guard.

Joseph is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Drago working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Joseph doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Joseph manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Joseph closes the distance and clinches up with Drago, looking for a takedown. Joseph pushes Drago against the cage but Drago circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Drago has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Joseph has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Drago is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
