Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Barker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Summers comes into the arena with Meatloaf: In The Land Of The Pigs blaring out of the sound system. Barker has chosen The Way of the Fist - Five Finger Death Punch as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dylan Summers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Barker! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Summers moves away from the strike by Barker. Nice body kick there by Barker. That kick from Barker tenderised Summers's leg. Summers is trying to keep his angry face on. A good leg kick by Barker. Barker just misses with a punch to the body.
William Barker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Barker clinches. A short right from Barker. Barker misses with a body punch.
Summers blocks a body shot from Barker. Barker gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Summers.
Summers tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Barker just stands there and leans against the cage. Barker throws a head punch that misses. Barker misses with a punch to the body.
Barker tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Barker pulls guard effortlessly.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Summers stays in close to Barker's body and controls the position. Summers loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Barker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Summers throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Summers wants to control from the top but Barker keeps moving. No, Summers has managed to get both his arms back between Barker's legs - danger averted. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Barker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Summers trying to control but Barker is working from the bottom. Barker working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Summers. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Summers is working Barker over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Summers wants to control from the top but Barker keeps moving. Summers avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Barker makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Barker is pushing down on Summers's leg trying to pass to half guard. Summers is fighting to maintain full guard but Barker has managed to sneak the leg through. Nice strikes from Barker there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Barker is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Summers gets back to full guard.

Summers is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Summers trying to control from half guard but Barker is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but William Barker will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Barker looks to score with a jab to the body but Summers is just out of range. Summers misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Barker.
The fighters circle momentarily. Summers darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Summers connects with a good right hand that stumbles Barker. Barker circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Barker blocks a low kick nicely. Summers shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Barker as he avoids it easily. Barker scores with a crisp jab that stopped Summers in his tracks. Barker doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Summers throws a body punch but Barker moves out of range. Nice uppercut there from Barker. Summers throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round. Barker throws a leg kick but Summers moved away. Barker ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Summers throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Barker instigates a clinch. Barker lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Summers misses with an elbow strike.
Barker working some nice short punches in the clinch. Summers blocks an elbow strike. Barker can't find room to land a body shot as Summers controls the action.
Summers has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Barker is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dylan Summers. That's going to take a lot out of him. Summers blocks a body shot from Barker. Barker is working for takedown but Summers is calmly controlling the position for now. A head punch on the inside from Barker fails to land. Summers pulls guard. Summers wants to control but Barker is keeping him busy. Dylan Summers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Summers not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... William Barker! After the fight, William Barker was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
