Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tiago Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boston Terrier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boston Terrier told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 94 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Boston Terrier!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Terrier is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Silva.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Terrier enables Silva to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Terrier manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Silva stands and steps away. Terrier gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Silva forces Terrier back against the cage and clinches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silva is breathing heavily.
A frustrated look appears on Terrier's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Silva is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Terrier can't fight it off and eventually Silva manages to take the fight to the floor. Terrier looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Silva drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Silva seems to have locked his on tight now - Terrier screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Silva, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Tiago Silva!
