Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michael Bisping! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ruslan Kalinin! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kalinin keeps the fight on the outside. Kalinin slips a straight right by Bisping. Bisping misses the jab. Kalinin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bisping sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kalinin somewhat. Kalinin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bisping circles away. Bisping swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bisping gets caught flat footed, as Kalinin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Bisping trying to keep a closed guard but Kalinin is proving a slippery customer.

Kalinin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bisping uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kalinin. Kalinin shoots in looking for a takedown but Bisping manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kalinin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kalinin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bisping is fending him off so far but Kalinin persists. Nope, Bisping circles away and we're back to standing. Michael Bisping has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ruslan Kalinin. Kalinin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Bisping will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kalinin up against the cage. Bisping throws a knee to the head but misses.

Bisping breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Michael Bisping has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kalinin closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bisping quickly recovers to half guard.
