Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steven Bird!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ilia Kosarev!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kosarev manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bird on his heels. He'll look to pass Bird's guard now, I'm sure.
Bird uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Kosarev fails with a takedown attempt.
Kosarev shoots in looking for a takedown. Bird tries to sprawl out of it but Kosarev keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bird manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kosarev looks gassed!
Kosarev shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bird as he avoids it easily.
Steven Bird has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ilia Kosarev.
Bird lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Ilia Kosarev has been cut.
Bird drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bird is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Kosarev is trying to escape and Bird transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Kosarev is forced to tap! Nice work there by Bird! Very nice indeed!
