Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rodney Bruisester! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dylan Kain! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Reed Andrews and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bruisester shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kain's guard. Bruisester trying to control the position from guard on top but Kain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bruisester slips nicely into half guard. Kain won't allow Bruisester to pass to mount. Bruisester seems to be looking for submissions.
Kain is looking for a sweep. Bruisester is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kain is trying to stand up here but Bruisester is controlling him well. Bruisester trying to mount his opponent but Kain defends it.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kain is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kain wants to clinch. Kain gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bruisester trying to control the position from guard on top but Kain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kain can't keep his opponent in guard - Bruisester advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Bruisester sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kain defending well though. Bruisester trying to control from half guard but Kain is working away. Bruisester is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Bruisester working over Kain with some ground and pound. Kain looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Bruisester has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kain actively working from the bottom here. Kain wants to get back to his feet.
Well, if Bruisester is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kain is trying to stand up here but Bruisester is controlling him well.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kain closes the distance and lands a one-two. Kain Rushes Bruisester and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Bruisester is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Kain Piles on the pressure and Bruisester crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
