The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ronbo fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ronbo feints a jab promting Ber to slip. Ronbo then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Ber slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Ronbo throws a series of punches but Ber avoids them all with ease.
Ber will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ronbo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ber's calf.

Ronbo leaves Ber with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Ronbo stalks Ber and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ber's face. Ber staggers backwards, shaken.

Ronbo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ber manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ronbo wants to get back to his feet but Ber is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Ber throws a strike but Ronbo rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Ronbo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Ronbo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ber swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ber has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ber is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
