The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hellbane lands a nice shot to the body.
Hellbane shoots in for a takedown but McIllhenny shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ultimate Hellbane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hellbane throws a sloppy body shot
and Hellbane takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
McIllhenny getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Hellbane misses with a shot to the body
and McIllhenny counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
McIllhenny lands a head shot.
Hellbane shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McIllhenny pinned against the cage. McIllhenny gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McIllhenny looks to land a combination. Hellbane sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Hellbane doesn't succeed with the takedown
and McIllhenny counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hellbane's knee momentarily.
Fink McIllhenny has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ultimate Hellbane.
McIllhenny feints and then cracks Hellbane's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hellbane down.
McIllhenny connects with a looping right hand.
Hellbane shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McIllhenny pinned against the cage. McIllhenny gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hellbane thows a body shot but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hellbane misses with a takedown attempt
and McIllhenny counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Nice sprawl there from McIllhenny as Hellbane shoots in.
McIllhenny connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hellbane. Hellbane circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
McIllhenny connects with a high kick.
McIllhenny's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and McIllhenny duly obliges.
Hellbane is rocked!
Are you kidding me?! McIllhenny ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Hellbane clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
