Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Khun Vee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Apolo Creed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Apolo Creed is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Khun Vee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Apolo Creed! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vee throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Creed tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Vee is in Creed's guard. Vee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Creed throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Creed keeping moving, preventing Vee from controlling successfully. Vee throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Vee trying to control the position from guard on top but Creed is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Creed trying to control the position here. Vee trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Vee lands a couple of digs. Creed is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Vee is aware though and is defending well. Vee avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Vee working some strikes from top position. Vee lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Vee got a little sloppy there for a moment and Creed has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vee has managed to get both his arms back between Creed's legs - danger averted.

Vee working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Creed's head. Vee in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Vee with a nice head shot there. Vee works over Creed with some ground and pound from guard. Vee lands a couple of digs. Vee lands a couple of elbows. Creed looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Vee works his way into side control. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Creed is looking for a sweep. Creed on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Creed takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Vee wants to control but Creed is keeping him busy. Creed is looking for a sweep. Creed can't do much from the bottom here. Vee tries for a kimura but Creed is defending well. Vee working away. Creed has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Vee in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Vee postures up in Creed's guard and throws a big left but Creed blocks it. Vee is in close to Creed's body, working some short punches and elbows. Vee tries to free his leg and advance position but Creed is retaining full guard. Vee looking to sit in guard and control but Creed gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Vee working for a triangle but Creed defends it easily.
Vee looking to hit a scissor sweep but Creed is one step ahead there. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Vee bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Creed's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Khun Vee dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Horrible takedown by Creed or perhaps it was just good defense by Vee which made him look bad. Vee shoots in but no luck this time. Creed bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Vee is trying to get back to half guard. Vee is trying to get back to half guard. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Vee changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Creed tries to avoid it but Vee manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Creed to the ground. Creed escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Creed gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Vee counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Vee working some strikes from top position. Creed is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Vee is aware though and is defending well. Vee cracks Creed with a solid left hand. Khun Vee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Vee sitting in guard here, content to control. Creed trying to control the position.
Creed looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Vee puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Creed looking for submissions off his back. Creed is breathing heavily. Creed doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vee. Creed is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Vee lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Creed has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vee is working away from the top position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vee lands with a punch from half guard. Creed keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Creed looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Creed actively working from the bottom here. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Vee lands a nice short elbow. Vee scoring with strikes to the body and head. Creed is trying to control but can't.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Vee prevents Creed from improving his position. Creed defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vee. Creed scores a takedown into full mount! Vee regains half guard. Creed is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Vee is looking for a sweep. Creed is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Creed is working for a kimura but Vee is defending it quite comfortably.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Apolo Creed hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Vee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Creed's waist but Creed gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vee off to one side.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Vee. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Khun Vee. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vee closes this distance looking for a takedown but Creed circles away. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Creed fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vee avoids it really well and circles away. Creed fails with the takedown. Creed leaves Vee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Vee looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Creed working for a triangle but Vee defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Creed is looking for a triangle but Vee pushes his legs off easily.
Creed tries to land a sweep but no joy. Vee slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Vee lands a decent elbow from side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Khun Vee is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Creed is working to avoid the ground and pound but Vee connects with a decent elbow. Apolo Creed has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Creed is trying to escape the position but Vee is controlling the position. Vee looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Vee landing a few strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vee is looking to take a break and control but Creed is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Creed is trying to get back to half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Vee is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Creed tries to bench press Vee off him but Vee keeps the position. Vee controlling the position from side mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Creed sneaks back into half guard. Vee looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that's the end of the fight! Khun Vee showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Vee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
