Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Munch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guthrum Svavarsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guthrum Svavarsson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svavarsson checks a leg kick.

Munch fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Svavarsson sprawls well initially but Munch persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Munch thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Svavarsson's head.
Munch looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Svavarsson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Svavarsson is just content to waste time from the top position. Munch takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close second round but I would say that John Munch will probably get the nod.
