Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Ketchup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mitch Layden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mitch Layden has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 37 - 0, fighting out of London, John Ketchup! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 10 - 1, fighting out of London, Mitch Layden! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Layden scores with a shot to the body.
Ketchup has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ketchup jumps guard.
Layden landing some decent shots from guard. Layden has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ketchup seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Ketchup looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ketchup keeping full guard, as Layden tries to pass. Layden working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Ketchup is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ketchup wants to stand but Layden is controlling the position. Layden works over Ketchup with some ground and pound from guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Layden is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Ketchup will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Layden throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Layden preventing the sweep. Layden passes easily into side control. Nice work. Ketchup is working to avoid the ground and pound but Layden connects with a decent elbow. Ketchup tries to improve position but can't. Layden misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Layden cracks Ketchup with a big right hand but Ketchup just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Layden is putting a hurting on Ketchup here, landing some big shots from side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Layden landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Ketchup takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Layden is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Ketchup will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ketchup is not content to let Layden control the position. Layden tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Layden has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Ketchup is looking for a sweep. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Layden throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Ketchup tries to get back to half guard but can't. Layden working the ground and pound. Ketchup is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Layden off and has taken his back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ketchup is trying to stick to Layden's back but Layden is turning into Ketchup. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Ketchup's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Layden. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Layden keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ketchup's head. Layden is stalling in the full guard. Layden drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ketchup manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Layden has Ketchup in his guard. Layden throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Layden thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Ketchup drops back, looking for a kneebar! Layden looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Layden looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Layden! Ketchup taking a bit of punishment here - Layden scoring with strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ketchup manages to get back to half guard. Layden scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Layden is working for a submission of some sort.
Layden content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ketchup looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Layden! Layden is looking to improve his position but Ketchup isn't that keen on the idea. Layden is squirming around, avoiding Ketchup's attempts to control the action. Ketchup really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Layden is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Layden tries to hold on but Ketchup postures up. Layden is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ketchup knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Layden on the ground. Layden holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Ketchup tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Ketchup throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Layden looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Layden breaks Ketchup's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Layden landing with the ground and pound. Ketchup is trying to control the position but Layden postures up. Layden trying to control but Ketchup is working from the bottom. Ketchup doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ketchup trying to keep a closed guard but Layden is proving a slippery customer.
Layden stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ketchup swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ketchup is looking to sweep but instead, Layden has passed into half guard.
Layden lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Mitch Layden has got the better of the ground game so far. Layden drops an elbow to the side of Ketchup's head. Layden thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ketchup's head. Ketchup has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Layden is working away from the top position though. Layden seems to be working for a kimura but Ketchup defends the submission attempt.

Ketchup won't allow Layden to pass to mount. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ketchup wants to get back to his feet. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Layden looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ketchup with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mitch Layden showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Ketchup's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Ketchup with a lazy takedown attempt and Layden counters with a shoot takedown. Ketchup fights it but they end up in guard. Ketchup bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Layden's guard. Layden has a closed guard, preventing Ketchup from standing up. Layden wants to sweep but no luck. Ketchup would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ketchup trying to control but Layden is working from the bottom. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of John Ketchup. Ketchup tries to move into range but Layden moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Layden drives through with a takedown into Ketchup's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Layden trying to control the position from guard on top but Ketchup is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ketchup throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Layden slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Layden works a leg free and moves into half guard. Layden throwing shots but Ketchup is blocking nicely. Layden throwing shots but Ketchup is blocking nicely. Layden is looking to advance position but Ketchup won't allow it. Ketchup has hold of Layden's hands but Layden slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ketchup moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Layden slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Layden working away. Mitch Layden is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Layden thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Ketchup is trying to control Layden's posture but Layden avoids it. Layden taking a breather here. Ketchup tries to escape but Layden is in control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Layden wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ketchup keeps working. Ketchup struggling a bit here. Ketchup is trying to improve his position. Layden trying to control the position but Ketchup is working away. Layden working the ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Layden controls the position. John Ketchup has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Layden trying to control the action but Ketchup is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Mitch Layden comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Layden winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
