Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Andersen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michael Andersen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Andersen! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Johnson! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson scores with a takedown into Andersen's guard. Andersen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Andersen pushes Johnson off and scrambles back to his feet.
Chris Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Andersen with a poor takedown and Johnson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Andersen's guard now. Johnson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Johnson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Johnson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Johnson moves in looking to clinch but Andersen pushes him off. Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown. Andersen tries to sprawl out of it but Johnson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Andersen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
It looks like Chris Johnson has been cut. Andersen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Johnson throws a half hearted mid kick. Andersen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Johnson.
Andersen throws a lazy head kick and Johnson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Johnson wants to control from the top but Andersen keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Johnson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Andersen had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Johnson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Andersen Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Johnson's back instead. Andersen trying to control momentarily.
Andersen is trying to stick to Johnson's back but Johnson is turning into Andersen. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Andersen's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Johnson. Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Andersen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andersen has a closed guard, preventing Johnson from standing up. Johnson looks gassed!
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Andersen tries to avoid it but Johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Andersen to the ground. Andersen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Andersen tries to clinch but fails miserably and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Andersen won't be happy with that. Andersen prevents Johnson from improving position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson working away. Andersen is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Johnson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson is putting a hurting on Andersen here, landing some big shots from side control. Johnson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Andersen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Andersen is not content to let Johnson control the position. Johnson misses with the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Andersen manages to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Johnson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Chris Johnson's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Johnson. Johnson misses with a takedown attempt - Andersen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Andersen throws a sloppy head kick and Johnson moves out of range easily. Johnson is looking to clinch but Andersen is avoiding it.
Andersen throws a head kick that misses and Johnson counters by clinching up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Andersen wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Andersen is looking to break free of the clinch but Johnson has double underhooks. Johnson is breathing heavily. Johnson keeps control of Andersen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Johnson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Andersen pulls his leg out and moves away.
Andersen misses with a wild combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Johnson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Johnson decides to stand back up. Johnson steps back and let's Andersen get back to his feet. Johnson swats away the attempt to clinch by Andersen. Johnson fails with the takedown and Andersen moves into the clinch. Michael Andersen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Johnson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Andersen has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Johnson is trying to keep an underhook but Andersen manages to get the takedown into half guard. Andersen tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Johnson is looking for a sweep. Andersen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Andersen postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Johnson to stand up. Johnson throws a series of strikes that have Andersen backpedaling.
Johnson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Chris Johnson has got the better of the ground game so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Johnson trying to control the position but Andersen is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andersen bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Johnson is looking to clinch. Johnson throws a lazy body kick and Andersen counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Andersen.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson wants to stand and escape but Andersen is having none of it. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johnson is on top in guard.
Andersen has momentary wrist control but Johnson slips an elbow through the middle. Johnson wants to control from the top but Andersen keeps moving. Johnson won't allow Andersen to sweep him here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johnson trying to control but Andersen is working from the bottom. Andersen uses the cage to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Michael Andersen will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Chris Johnson's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Andersen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Johnson circles away. Andersen closes the distance but Johnson moves to the side and Johnson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Andersen's guard. Johnson forces his way into half guard. Johnson is controlling the pace.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Let's hope that Johnson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson passes the guard and advances to mount! Johnson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Johnson tries to control but Andersen wriggling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Johnson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Andersen is now in Johnson's guard. A big mistake from Johnson there, giving up the dominant position! Andersen stopping the sweep attempt from Johnson. Andersen trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom. Johnson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andersen trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Johnson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Andersen dives into side control.
Johnson is trying to buck Andersen off. Johnson can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Johnson is not content to let Andersen control the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Andersen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Johnson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Johnson trying to control but Andersen is working from the bottom. Johnson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Andersen dives on top into guard. Andersen trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Chris Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Johnson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
