The crowd seem to be enjoying Hart's choice of entrance music: Vertigo - U2. Bret Hart has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Tariq Ziyad's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ziyad fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ziyad scores with a push kick.
Hart ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Ziyad takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Hart looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Hart throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Ziyad avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hart.
Hart wants to pass to mount but Ziyad is defending the position.
Hart seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ziyad does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Hart has hold of Ziyad's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Ziyad manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Hart breaks from Ziyad's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Ziyad tries to lock up and control but Hart gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Oh Ziyad is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hart cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Ziyad wants to control but Hart is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hart with the ground and pound from mount.
Hart lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Ziyad is wriggling around trying to escape.
A big strike lands for Hart! That's really hurt Ziyad and he's turned his back - Hart keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Hart jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
