Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jessie James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Mankiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes to the cage accompanied by Dead or Alive. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mankiev wants to clinch up but James keeps it at a distance.

James gets a double leg takedown into Mankiev's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Mankiev tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Mankiev lands with a heel strike from the guard.
Mankiev not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mankiev looking for a sweep. Not yet Mankiev, not yet.
James trying to control but Mankiev is working from the bottom.
Mankiev looking to hit a scissor sweep but James is one step ahead there.
Mankiev manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. James manages to get himself to full guard.
James utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

James working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mankiev doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mankiev manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

James has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Mankiev doesn't defend quickly enough and James has managed to lock this one up! Can Mankiev escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to James on a fantastic submission victory.
