Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between New Dalton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sgt Slaughter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, New Dalton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sgt Slaughter! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dalton darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Slaughter makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Slaughter. Slaughter pulls Dalton in to control the position. Slaughter looking for a sweep. Not yet Slaughter, not yet. Slaughter is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dalton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Slaughter had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dalton defends it easily. Dalton loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slaughter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dalton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Slaughter looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Dalton tries to free his leg and advance position but Slaughter is retaining full guard. Dalton has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Slaughter is proving hard to escape from. Dalton throws an elbow that misses. Slaughter uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dalton's guard. Nice move by Slaughter! Dalton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Slaughter working some strikes from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slaughter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Slaughter is looking to work some ground and pound but Dalton has wrist control. Slaughter trying to control the position from guard on top but Dalton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Slaughter might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dalton kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Slaughter content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
It looks like New Dalton has been cut. Slaughter lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Slaughter trying to control but Dalton is working from the bottom. Slaughter thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slaughter wants to control from the top but Dalton keeps moving. Dalton uses the ropes to get back to his feet.
Dalton is breathing heavily. Slaughter fails to land the takedown. Dalton throws a head kick that misses. Slaughter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dalton is fending him off so far but Slaughter persists. Nope, Dalton circles away and we're back to standing. Slaughter throws a right hand that misses
and Dalton counters with a single leg into guard. Slaughter didn't expect that. Slaughter is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dalton is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Slaughter is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Slaughter is looking for a kimura here.
Slaughter is looking to take a break and control but Dalton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dalton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Slaughter on the ground. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Slaughter throwing shots but Dalton is blocking nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sgt Slaughter dominated that round. The cut man is working on New Dalton's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Dalton looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Slaughter shoots in for a double leg but Dalton sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Slaughter tries to close the distance and clinch but Dalton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Slaughter. Slaughter with a lazy takedown attempt and Dalton counters by clinching up. New Dalton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sgt Slaughter. Slaughter has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Dalton after a bit of a struggle. Slaughter tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Dalton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Slaughter tries to keep at a distance but Dalton has taken the fight into the clinch. Dalton has Slaughter pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Dalton pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Slaughter tumbling to the mat - Dalton dives into Slaughter's guard. Dalton trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Slaughter has his foot on Dalton's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dalton works his way back into a safe position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dalton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Slaughter swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dalton preventing the sweep. Dalton trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Slaughter manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Slaughter looking to pass the guard. Dalton on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dalton tries to get out of the position. Slaughter throws a big right hand that misses. Slaughter trying to control but Dalton is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slaughter won't allow Dalton to get back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dalton keeping full guard, as Slaughter tries to pass. Slaughter wants to control from the top but Dalton keeps moving. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Slaughter advances to half guard. Slaughter seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Dalton is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Sgt Slaughter!
