Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eduardo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Vbahi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Vbahi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matt Vbahi!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vbahi gets a clinch.

Silva is fighting off a takedown attempt but Vbahi is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Silva to the mat. Silva regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Vbahi throws a big elbow that misses.
Vbahi wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.

Silva is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vbahi with a nice head shot there.

Vbahi has gone for a leg lock! Silva slips out almost immediately though and dives into Vbahi's guard.

Vbahi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Silva is aware though and is defending well.
Silva postures up in Vbahi's guard and throws a big left but Vbahi blocks it.

Vbahi controls Silva momentarily but Silva frees himself.
Silva has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Vbahi is proving hard to escape from.

Silva thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Silva drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Vbahi dives on top into guard.

Silva is working an open guard so Vbahi takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Silva shoots in for a takedown but Vbahi shows good takedown defense.

Vbahi closes the distance and pushes Silva back into the cage.

Vbahi turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Vbahi stands up and we're back to a striking position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Vbahi rushes Silva and presses him up against the cage.

Vbahi is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Silva is refusing to be controlled, as Vbahi sits in half guard.
Silva is pressing down on Vbahi's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vbahi wants to stand but Silva has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Silva is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vbahi defends well.

Vbahi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vbahi wanted to stand there but Silva had control of the position.
Silva manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matt Vbahi dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Silva shoots in for a takedown but Vbahi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Eduardo Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Vbahi shoots in and drives through. Silva sprawls well.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Vbahi tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vbahi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Matt Vbahi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vbahi is breathing heavily.

Vbahi fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Vbahi persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Silva is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Silva tries to get to full guard but Vbahi has control of the leg.

Vbahi stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Silva to get to his feet.

Silva jumps guard but Vbahi turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Silva wants to control from the top but Vbahi keeps moving.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Vbahi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vbahi manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Vbahi's guard.

Vbahi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Vbahi is pulling down on Silva's head to control his posture.
Silva throwing strikes from guard but Vbahi blocks nicely.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Silva throws a strike but Vbahi rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Matt Vbahi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Vbahi as he jumps to the side.

Vbahi drives through with a takedown into Silva's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Matt Vbahi has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Vbahi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Silva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Silva shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Vbahi defends it nicely.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vbahi is looking to improve his position but Silva isn't that keen on the idea.

Matt Vbahi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Vbahi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
