The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Victorio shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Overeem pinned against the cage. Overeem gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Victorio fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Overeem manages to avoid it.

Victorio thuds his right hand into Overeem's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Overeem looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Victorio is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Overeem is just riding it out for now. Victorio eventually gives up the hold.
