Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kazuki Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Dillard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Kazuki Williams has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kazuki Williams seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kazuki Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jose Dillard!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams tries for a takedown but Dillard circles away easily

and Dillard counters with a nice double leg into side control. Williams won't be happy with that.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Dillard stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Williams shoots in for a double leg but Dillard sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Williams tries to close the distance and clinch but Dillard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dillard doesn't succeed with the takedown

so Williams counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Williams will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Williams advances position into side control!
Dillard is looking to regain half guard here but Williams keeps moving and retains side control.

Williams is trying to get an arm triangle but Dillard is defending well.

Dillard tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Williams is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dillard has escaped the position, nice work there.

Dillard wants to free his trapped foot but Williams is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Dillard is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Williams sees it coming and defends easily.
Dillard is pressing down on Williams's thigh, looking to free his foot. Williams is holding on for now.
The fighters are battling for position here. Williams manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Dillard passes Williams's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Dillard is looking to pass Williams's guard but actually Williams recovers to full guard.
Dillard wants to stand but Williams has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Dillard wants to pass the guard but Williams is keeping the position.

Dillard drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Williams dives on top into guard.

Williams decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Kazuki Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Dillard.

Dillard closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Dillard has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Dillard will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Williams really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dillard keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Dillard shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Williams pinned against the cage. Williams gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Williams misses with an attempted mid kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jose Dillard will probably get the nod.
That's time! Williams's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Dillard tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Williams swivels and escapes.

Williams is standing up over Dillard. Dillard looks to escape but Williams dives into side control.

Williams decides to stand up, so the ref orders Dillard to his feet.
Kazuki Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams shoots in looking for a takedown but Dillard manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Williams's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Dillard counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Williams's guard now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kazuki Williams. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Williams wants to improve his position but instead Dillard has moved into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Williams won't allow Dillard to pass to mount.

Dillard is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Williams has managed to free his arm - good work.

Dillard decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Williams shoots in but no luck this time.

Williams thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Dillard looks to move to half guard but instead Williams has passed into mount! Damn!

Williams get's back to his feet.
Williams fails with the takedown.
Williams shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dillard sprawls well. Dillard wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Williams gets slowly back to his feet.
Williams looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dillard is fending him off so far but Williams persists. Nope, Dillard circles away and we're back to standing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dillard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kazuki Williams dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Williams manages to capitalize on a mistake by Dillard to take his back!

Dillard is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Williams gets his way!
