Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Horus Mithra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Aint no sunshine - DMX kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anderson Silva!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails with the takedown.
Mithra clobbers Silva with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mithra circles away quickly and effectively.
Mithra misses with a two punch combination.
Silva has taken the fight to the clinch.
Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Silva swings for the body but Mithra moves out of range.
Mithra throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mithra throws a series of strikes that have Silva backpedaling.
Silva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Silva moves into range and clinches up with Mithra.
Mithra breaks the clinch.
Silva gets a clinch.
Mithra is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Silva is keeping busy.
Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Silva is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Decent striking displayed by Mithra there.
Good standup being displayed there by Mithra as he connects with a hook.
Silva does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Mithra lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Silva throws a hook to the side of Mithra's head but Mithra sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Horus Mithra is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Silva is looking to clinch.
Mithra scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Mithra slips a jab from Silva.
Mithra stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Mithra scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Mithra lands with an overhand left.
Silva misses with a looping right.
A low kick from Silva misses
and Mithra counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Silva misses with a series of wild punches.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but Mithra shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Silva misses with the combination.
Mithra misses with a looping right.
Silva's corner calls for a 1-2. Silva obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silva misses the shot to the body.
Mithra lands the left hand.
Mithra moves into range and connects with a jab.
Silva dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mithra. That did some damage!
Mithra looks to land a right hand but Silva moved out of range.
Silva ducks under a wild hook from Mithra.
Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mithra was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva.
Silva looks for a takedown but Mithra sprawls well.
Horus Mithra has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Silva.
Silva looks to land a combination but Mithra avoids it well.

Silva ducks under a wild hook from Mithra.
Anderson Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva takes a jab right on the kisser.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mithra, as that shot connected.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mithra as he jumps to the side.
Mithra slips under a jab.
Silva jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Silva swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mithra counters with a right hand to the body.
Silva falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mithra counters with a left and a right that stings Silva.
Mithra connects with a good right hand that stumbles Silva. Silva circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Nice jab there from Mithra.
Silva is rocked!
Mithra circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Silva to the canvas! Silva doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Mithra keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Horus Mithra!
