The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takimoto manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sol on his heels. He'll look to pass Sol's guard now, I'm sure.
Takimoto sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sol's guard.
Takimoto working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Sol's thigh. Sol counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Takimoto content to stall in guard here.
Takimoto trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Takimoto is looking to work some ground and pound but Sol has wrist control.

Takimoto is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sol has escaped the position, nice work there.

Takimoto has hold of Sol's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Sol tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Takimoto cranks the arm and Sol screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Sol, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
