Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Albert Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Valentine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kelly might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Fire Your Guns. Albert Kelly has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vincent Valentine!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kelly with a hook.
Kelly looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Kelly walks into a jab.
Kelly with a nice cross.
Kelly just misses with a punch to the body.
Valentine blocks a low kick nicely.
Kelly throws an overhand right that lands on Valentine's shoulder, as Valentine tries to avoid the shot.
A swing and a miss from Kelly.
Kelly lands a leg kick that knocks Valentine off balance momentarily.
Kelly tries to bum rush Valentine with a series of wild strikes but Valentine uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kelly displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Valentine throws out the jab.
Valentine steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kelly.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Albert Kelly is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kelly misses with a series of wild punches.
Valentine swinging wildly here.
Kelly feints and then cracks Valentine's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Valentine down.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kelly.
Kelly walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Valentine checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Kelly displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Valentine.

Kelly tries to land a leg kick but Valentine saw it coming and moves away.
Valentine is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kelly misses with an uppercut.
Valentine avoids the body shot from Kelly.
Kelly throws a lazy uppercut

and Valentine counters with a shoot takedown. Kelly fights it but they end up in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Valentine in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Valentine drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kelly manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Valentine has Kelly in his guard.

Valentine is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Kelly frees his head nicely. Oh but Valentine has switched to an armbar! Kelly is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
