Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Harry Cockburner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Ruckus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnny Ruckus will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Harry Cockburner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Ruckus! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cockburner drives through with a takedown into guard. Cockburner's corner is telling him to maintain position. Ruckus keeping full guard, as Cockburner tries to pass. Cockburner stays in close to Ruckus's body and controls the position. Ruckus keeping moving, preventing Cockburner from controlling successfully. Cockburner drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ruckus looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ruckus looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ruckus! Cockburner gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Cockburner kicks Ruckus off and gets back to his feet. Ruckus works over Cockburner's head and body with a nice combination. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ruckus lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Cockburner shoots in and bounces Ruckus off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruckus not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Cockburner thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Cockburner controls from within his opponent's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cockburner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Cockburner drops back looking for a leg! Ruckus is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ruckus manages to kick Cockburner off! Cockburner jumps back into Ruckus's guard. Cockburner is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cockburner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ruckus is keeping the position for now. Cockburner wants to control from the top but Ruckus keeps moving. Cockburner throws a big right hand that misses. Ruckus can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cockburner controls the pace. Cockburner passes Ruckus's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Cockburner is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cockburner throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Cockburner is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cockburner wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ruckus keeps working. Cockburner is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ruckus doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cockburner. Cockburner is looking for a kimura here.
Cockburner is looking to take a break and control but Ruckus is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cockburner thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ruckus's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cockburner passes to full mount! Cockburner looking for a guillotine from mount but Ruckus is having none of it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cockburner has control of Ruckus's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ruckus regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Cockburner content just to control the position here. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ruckus tries to lock up and control but Cockburner gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Harry Cockburner dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Cockburner throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ruckus was covering up waiting for the punch and Cockburner finishes the takedown easily into guard. Harry Cockburner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Cockburner drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cockburner jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cockburner stands and throws Ruckus's legs to the side, diving into side control. Cockburner is working to tighten is grip on Ruckus's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Ruckus has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Cockburner is really squeezing tight and eventually Ruckus passes out! Cockburner breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
