The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bearden scores with a push kick.
Roberts darts in and clinches Bearden up against the cage.
Bearden is fighting off a takedown attempt but Roberts is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Bearden to the mat. Bearden regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Roberts has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Roberts has hold of Bearden's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Bearden tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Roberts cranks the arm and Bearden screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Bearden, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
