Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mordred Deschain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Foy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mordred Deschain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jamie Foy!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deschain misses the jab.

Deschain pushes Foy up against the cage in a clinch.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mordred Deschain just wasn't active enough.
Foy looks to land a combination. Deschain sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Foy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Deschain's half guard.

Deschain is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Foy not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Foy postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Deschain tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Mordred Deschain has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Foy moves away from the strike by Deschain.

Deschain scores with a leg kick.
Jamie Foy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Foy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Deschain manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Foy closes the distance and clinches up with Deschain, looking for a takedown. Foy pushes Deschain against the cage but Deschain circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Foy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Foy misses the shot to the body.
Foy takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Deschain throws a low kick, looking for Foy's leg but Foy calmly moves out of range.
Deschain cracks the inside of Foy's front leg.
Foy misses with a few strikes there.
Deschain lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Foy swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Foy shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Foy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Foy has control of Deschain's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Deschain regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Foy is breathing heavily.
Deschain can't escape the position.
Deschain wants to control but Foy is having none of it.

Foy prevents Deschain from getting the reversal.
Deschain tries to hold on but Foy postures up.

Deschain keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Deschain is desperately trying to improve his position but Foy has a good base and remains in mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jamie Foy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Deschain's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Foy doesn't manage to clinch there - Deschain circles away.

and Foy counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Deschain's guard now.

Foy tries to free his leg and advance position but Deschain is retaining full guard.
Deschain controls Foy momentarily but Foy frees himself.
Foy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Foy wants to get up but he can't break Deschain's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Foy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Deschain wants to stand but Foy is controlling the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Foy is looking to clinch.

Foy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Deschain wants to control but Foy is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Deschain is looking to improve his position.
Foy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Deschain's head.

Foy is pressing down on Deschain's thigh, looking to free his foot. Deschain is holding on for now.
Foy is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Foy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Deschain.
Deschain throws a quick inside leg kick.

Foy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Deschain looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Deschain is looking for a sweep.

Foy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Deschain, who protects the arm well.
Foy is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Foy stands up and beckons Deschain to his feet.
Deschain feints and then cracks Foy's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Foy down.
Mordred Deschain has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Foy looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Deschain!
Foy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Foy is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Deschain has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Deschain!

Deschain got a little sloppy there for a moment and Foy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Deschain has managed to get both his arms back between Foy's legs - danger averted.

Foy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Deschain defends well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jamie Foy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Foy winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
