Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Diego Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Genetic Jackhammer. Mario Simpson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Diego Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mario Simpson!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Russell Pearce and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simpson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Diaz counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Simpson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Diaz.
Diaz lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Simpson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Diaz swivels and escapes.
Simpson slips a jab and a cross from Diaz.
Diaz misses the jab.
Simpson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Diaz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Simpson somewhat.
Diego Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Simpson.
Diaz misses with a straight left.
Diaz misses with a hook to the body
and Simpson moves into the clinch.
Simpson tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Diaz is pushing Simpson up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Diaz tries a knee to the head but Simpson blocks it.

Diaz breaks the clinch.
Diaz works the jab nicely.
Diaz lands a leg kick that knocks Simpson off balance momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Simpson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Diaz finds it's way round the side to connect with Simpson's head.
Diaz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Simpson manages to avoid it.
Simpson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Diaz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Simpson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Diaz finds it's way round the side to connect with Simpson's head.
Simpson is rocked!
Simpson bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Diaz comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Simpson falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Simpson was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Diego Diaz!
