Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jose Arruda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jet Lee!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Arruda.
Arruda takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Lee stuffs the takedown.
Lee shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Arruda pinned against the cage. Arruda gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Arruda misses with a head kick.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Arruda checks a leg kick.
Lee steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Arruda. That one must have hurt.
Arruda doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lee counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Lee is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Lee advances to half guard.
Lee stops Arruda from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Lee is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Arruda is trying to stand up here but Lee is controlling him well.
Arruda scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Lee manages to mount him!
Arruda is breathing heavily.
Lee controlling the pace for now.
Arruda is wriggling around trying to escape.
Arruda tries to lock up and control but Lee gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Lee stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A left lands for Arruda.
Lee avoids the head kick by Arruda.
Nice sprawl there from Arruda as Lee shoots in.
Arruda throws a right and a left that both miss.
Arruda pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lee shoots in but no luck this time.
Jose Arruda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jet Lee.
Arruda throws a series of punches but Lee moves out of range.
Lee avoids the head kick by Arruda.

Arruda misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Arruda tries to bum rush Lee with a series of wild strikes but Lee uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Arruda closes the distance and clinches.
Lee tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Arruda misses with a knee strike.
Lee tries for a takedown. No joy.
Arruda is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Lee is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Arruda pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Arruda prevents Lee from breaking the clinch.

Arruda lands a knee to the head.
Lee wants to get back to striking at distance but Arruda won't allow it.
Lee tries to break the clinch but Arruda is controlling the position.
Arruda connects with a knee to the head.
Arruda is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Lee is keeping busy.
Arruda throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Lee blocks it with crossed arms.
Arruda misses with a knee strike.
Arruda misses with a knee to the head.
Arruda pulls guard.
Lee working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Lee pushes down on Arruda's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Lee is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Arruda!
Arruda is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Lee tries to control but Arruda wriggling away.
Arruda wants to get back to his feet.
Lee stands up from mount. Strange move.
Arruda throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A nice combination there by Arruda.
Arruda misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Arruda swinging wilding here.
Arruda misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lee misses with a takedown attempt - Arruda sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Lee has his takedown stuffed
and Arruda counters with a solid body kick.
Lee looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Arruda throws a head kick that half lands.
A combination from Arruda does no damage.
Lee fails with an attempt to clinch.
Arruda closes the distance and clinches up with Lee, looking for a takedown. Arruda pushes Lee against the cage but Lee circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lee throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Arruda.
Arruda looks to land a combination. Lee sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Lee fails with the takedown
and Arruda counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Lee!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Arruda trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jose Arruda will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Arruda misses with a wild combination.
Arruda tries a head kick but it misses.
Arruda has closed the distance and engaged Lee in a clinch.
Arruda blocking some punches.
Lee tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Arruda just stands there and leans against the cage.
Lee can't get the takedown.
Arruda with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Arruda lands a nice uppercut.
Arruda manages to break the clinch.
Arruda drives through and clinches with Lee against the cage.
Arruda lands a big knee! That's hurt Lee! Oh, he's all over the place! Arruda lands another knee that sends Lee to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jose Arruda!
