Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shola Ameobi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Waleran Bigod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ameobi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Enemy - Away From Here. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ameobi walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
It looks like Shola Ameobi has been cut.
Bigod on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Ameobi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bigod keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Bigod throws a looping overhand right but Ameobi ducks down to avoid it.
Ameobi swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bigod counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ameobi shoots in for a double leg but Bigod sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Bigod really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ameobi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ameobi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ameobi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Ameobi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ameobi misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ameobi throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Bigod because Ameobi loaded up on that one.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ameobi throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bigod was covering up waiting for the punch and Ameobi finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Ameobi is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bigod is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Ameobi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Bigod utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
