The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bull tries to sprawl but Leupena drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Bull wants to improve his position but Leupena is controlling well.
Leupena throwing shots but Bull is blocking nicely.
Leupena is trying to control. Bull wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Leupena will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Leupena lands with a punch from half guard.
Leupena lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Bull looks gassed!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Leupena escapes and gets back to his feet.

Leupena pushes Bull up against the cage in a clinch.

Leupena jumps guard and drags Bull to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Bull wants to control from the top but Leupena keeps moving.
Leupena has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Leupena is on top in guard.
Leupena cracks Bull with a solid left hand.
Leupena is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Leupena is working Bull over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bull has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Leupena is working away from the top position though.

Leupena passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Bull!

Leupena has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bull's face.

Leupena loads up with a big shot that hurts Bull! He's pulled Leupena in close but Leupena has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Bull survive? More strikes from Leupena and Bull is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
