The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hart jabs at Rekdal's body.
Hart takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hart misses with a body shot
and Rekdal makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
A jab from Hart misses.
Hart fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rekdal manages to avoid it.
Rekdal lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A head kick misses from Rekdal.
Hart looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rekdal!
Rekdal is working to get back to half guard.
Rekdal takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Rekdal is trying desperately to improve position.

Rekdal tries to hold on but Hart pushes him away.
Hart raining down shots from the mount!
Hart sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Rekdal avoids a series of strikes thrown by Hart.

Hart working the ground and pound effectively.
It looks like Thorbjorn Rekdal has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hart lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Rekdal! Hart sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Rekdal and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
