14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Andre Mullard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Alessandro Rizzuto! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rizzuto works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Rizzuto throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rizzuto just misses with a punch to the body.
Rizzuto lands a nice hook to Mullard's body. Mullard takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Rizzuto keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Rizzuto avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Rizzuto ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mullard moves away. A looping hook to the body misses from Rizzuto. Mullard does a little dance to reset his feet. Mullard connects with a body shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mullard throws a series of punches but Rizzuto moves out of range. Mullard avoids the body shot from Rizzuto.
Mullard throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Rizzuto counters with a right hand to the body. Rizzuto has Mullard up against the cage in a clinch.
Rizzuto lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Mullard backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rizzuto landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Rizzuto scores with a shot to the side of Mullard's head. Nice elbow from Rizzuto. Mullard prevents a body shot from Rizzuto. Mullard wants to take the fight to the mat but Rizzuto manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Rizzuto lands an elbow inside that Mullard shrugs off.
It looks like Andre Mullard has been cut. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Rizzuto. Mullard wants to get back to striking at distance but Rizzuto won't allow it.
Rizzuto lands a right hand. Rizzuto misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Mullard.
A nice left hand lands by Rizzuto.
Rizzuto lands an elbow inside. Mullard has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rizzuto is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mullard can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Mullard. That's going to take a lot out of him. A short right from Rizzuto on the inside. Mullard tries to break the clinch but Rizzuto is controlling the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rizzuto lands an elbow inside. Mullard is trying to drag Rizzuto to the mat but Rizzuto just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Rizzuto scores with a shot to the side of Mullard's head. Rizzuto controlling the position using the Thai clinch, unloads with a massive knee! Boom! He's out cold and slumps to the floor against the cage! I can't wait to see the slow motion replay of that one!
