The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
dicarli defending well as Oliveira loads up on a big left hand.
dicarli tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Oliveira paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Oliveira misses with a hook. dicarli ducked under it nicely.

dicarli feints and as Oliveira raises his hands in defense, dicarli changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Oliveira has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but dicarli can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Oliveira doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
dicarli tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Oliveira smiles and moves away.

and dicarli decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Oliveira's guard.
Oliveira wriggles free and stands up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Oliveira tries to roll over but dicarli keeps him under control.

and Oliveira counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. dicarli is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Oliveira is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
