Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimbo Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Johnson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Amos Moses - Jerry Reed. Jimbo Johnson has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Johnson swings for the body but Davis moves out of range.
Johnson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Johnson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Davis's best efforts.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Davis shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Davis is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Davis connects with a nice short shot to Johnson's temple.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
