Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Elijah Paris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Rosenberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paris comes into the arena with Document One - Clap blaring out of the sound system. Alex Rosenberg will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Elijah Paris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alex Rosenberg! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Steve Erwin.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rosenberg moves out of range of the leg kick from Paris. Rosenberg lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Rosenberg misses with a series of wild punches.
A jab lands there for Paris. Paris looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Rosenberg looks to land a combination but Paris avoids it well. Paris lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rosenberg lands a glancing blow to the side of Paris's head. Paris blocks a head kick by Rosenberg.
Paris clobbers Rosenberg with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jab by Paris. Rosenberg stuffs the takedown. A chopping leg kick lands by Rosenberg. Paris takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Elijah Paris has been cut. Nice sprawl there from Rosenberg as Paris shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elijah Paris. That's going to take a lot out of him. Paris shoots in and drives through. Rosenberg sprawls well. Paris shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rosenberg pinned against the cage. Rosenberg gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Paris is breathing heavily. A chopping leg kick lands by Rosenberg.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Rosenberg scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Rosenberg lands a decent elbow from side control. Rosenberg trying to control the action but Paris is working from the bottom. Rosenberg wants to stand but Paris is controlling his arm. Rosenberg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Paris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rosenberg thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Paris bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Elijah Paris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Paris misses with a wild body shot. Paris lands a leg kick that knocks Rosenberg off balance momentarily.
Paris closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Paris tries to move to mount but Rosenberg blocks the move with his legs.

Paris tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Paris has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Paris is chipping away with strikes.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Rosenberg on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Paris has an Americana. Rosenberg didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Paris is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Paris hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Elijah Paris! In his post fight interview, Elijah Paris started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
