Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Slade Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bam looks to land a combination but Wilson avoids it well.
Bam throws the left hand but Wilson avoids the punch easily.
Bam ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wilson moves away.
Wilson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bam but Bam pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bam misses with a wild body shot.
Bam throws a series of punches but Wilson avoids them all with ease.
Wilson tries to clinch there but Bam circles away.
Wilson shoots in for a takedown but Bam shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Wilson shoots in looking for a takedown but Bam manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wilson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Bam Bam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Slade Wilson.
Bam lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Bam lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wilson circles away quickly and effectively.

Bam scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Bam displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Bam misses with a head kick.
Wilson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Bam lands a head shot.
Wilson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bam is breathing heavily.
Wilson misses with a takedown attempt - Bam sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bam stuffs the takedown.
Wilson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bam sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Bam throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bam throws a right hand that Wilson ducks under and follows up with a left that Wilson also avoids with ease.
Bam Bam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wilson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bam is fending him off so far but Wilson persists. Nope, Bam circles away and we're back to standing.
Bam lands an overhand right.
Wilson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bam's waist but Bam gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wilson off to one side.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wilson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bam lands a nice shot to the body.
Wilson moves out of range of the body kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bam pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bam throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Wilson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Bam closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Bam shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Wilson eats them both and turns towards Bam to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Wilson fails with the takedown

and Bam counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bam with a flurry of punches that miss.
Bam wants to get up but he can't break Wilson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Bam avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Wilson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bam connects with a couple of short punches.

Wilson is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Bam has his hands clasped together but Wilson extends an breaks Bam's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Wilson.
