Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ed Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Carver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson comes to the cage accompanied by Stephen Lynch - Special Ed. Carver has chosen Machine Gun - Manu Chao as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carver stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carver wants it to stay on the feet.

Carver has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nelson is working away from the top position though.

Carver drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nelson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nelson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nelson!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ed Nelson.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nelson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
