Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bibiano Dracolino! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jordan Mutch! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dracolino tries to keep at a distance but Mutch has taken the fight into the clinch. Dracolino has Mutch pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mutch manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Mutch gets a trip takedown into half guard. Mutch wants to free his trapped foot but Dracolino is holding on for dear life with his legs. Mutch thows a huge punch but Dracolino dodges it nicely.
Mutch is looking for a kimura here.
Dracolino wants to get back to full guard. Dracolino is breathing heavily. Mutch controlling the pace. Dracolino wants to get back to full guard. Mutch slips a nice elbow through Dracolino's hands, connecting with Dracolino's forehead. Mutch is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mutch takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mutch is working for a submission of some sort.
Mutch trying to control the action but Dracolino is working from the bottom. Mutch is nestled in close to Dracolino, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Well, if Mutch is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Mutch looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dracolino with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Mutch is looking for a kimura but Dracolino is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mutch to get the leverage. Mutch is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Dracolino wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ground and pound from Mutch. Dracolino is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mutch scores with a couple of nice shots.
Dracolino is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mutch working over Dracolino with some ground and pound. Dracolino looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Oh Dracolino is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Mutch is working for a kimura but Dracolino is defending it quite comfortably.
Mutch working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Mutch works his way into full mount! Dracolino takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Mutch's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
