The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Johnson with that takedown attempt.
Johnson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Zaquan tries to clinch but Johnson moves out of range.
Zaquan moves to clinch but Johnson breaks away
and Johnson counters with a stiff right hand.
Zaquan's corner calls for a 1-2. Zaquan obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Zaquan as he avoids it easily.
Zaquan throws a sloppy head kick and Johnson moves out of range easily.

Johnson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Zaquan wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Zaquan has had enough of the clinch but Johnson keeps him there for the moment.
Zaquan putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Johnson in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zaquan is trying to break free.

Zaquan throws an elbow that misses.

Zaquan manages to break the clinch.
Zaquan throws a hook but Johnson avoids it easily.

Johnson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zaquan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Johnson somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zaquan tries to clinch but Johnson is having none of it.

Johnson feints and as Zaquan raises his hands in defense, Johnson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Zaquan has momentary wrist control but Johnson slips an elbow through the middle.
Zaquan wants to stand and escape but Johnson is having none of it.
Johnson wants to control from the top but Zaquan keeps moving.
Johnson looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnson is working Zaquan over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Zaquan wants to stand and escape but Johnson is having none of it.
Johnson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Johnson drops back looking for a leg! Zaquan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Zaquan manages to kick Johnson off! Johnson jumps back into Zaquan's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Johnson advances position into side control!
Johnson is chipping away with strikes.

Zaquan is wriggling around trying to escape but Johnson has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Zaquan taps out and Johnson picks up the big win! Great work there by Johnson!
