The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez scores with a jab. Hickman acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Ramirez leaves Hickman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Jeffrey Ramirez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hickman.
Ramirez moves into range and connects with a jab.
It looks like Maxwell Hickman has been cut.

Hickman stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Hickman should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Hickman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hickman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Ramirez tries to control the position but Hickman now has his back.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Ramirez tries to escape but Hickman has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
