Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Helder Cruz!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baijo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Baijo bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Baijo stuffs the takedown attempt from Cruz. Cruz gets slowly back to his feet.
Johan Baijo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from Baijo does it's job there.
Baijo throws a leg kick which misses Cruz's front leg but catches the back leg as Cruz tries to avoid it.
Cruz shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Baijo but Baijo pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A head kick misses from Baijo.
Cruz shoots in looking for a takedown. Baijo tries to sprawl out of it but Cruz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Baijo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Johan Baijo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Helder Cruz.
Baijo scores with a head kick.
It looks like Helder Cruz has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Baijo tries a head kick but it misses.
Cruz walks forward, straight into a front kick from Baijo.
Cruz looks gassed!
Baijo's corner calls for a 1-2. Baijo obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cruz gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Baijo gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Cruz is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johan Baijo!
