Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Anders Lundin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamie Gardner!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lundin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gardner as he jumps to the side.

and Lundin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gardner's guard.
Gardner tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Gardner controls Lundin momentarily but Lundin frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lundin stands up from Gardner's guard - Lundin perhaps looking for a knockout.
Lundin shoots in and drives through. Gardner sprawls well.
Gardner closes the distance looking to clinch
and Lundin counters with a straight right hand.

Lundin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Gardner is trying to stand up here but Lundin is controlling him well.
Lundin wants to stand up but Gardner is controlling the position.
Lundin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Lundin is breathing heavily.
Lundin is taking a breather. Gardner says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Gardner holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Lundin moves into the clinch.
Lundin avoiding damage.
A short body shot lands from Lundin as the two fighters clinch.

Gardner manages to pull guard.
Lundin content to stall in guard here.
Lundin thows a big elbow that misses.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gardner is on top in guard.

Lundin manages to escape and get back to his feet.

The fight stays on the outside here - Gardner looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lundin tries to clinch but Gardner is having none of it.

Lundin has Gardner up against the cage in a clinch.
Gardner drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lundin gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Gardner tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lundin smiles and moves away.
Anders Lundin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamie Gardner.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lundin throws a series of punches but Gardner avoids them all with ease.

Lundin manages to break the clinch.

Lundin scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Lundin wants to take a breather but Gardner is having none of it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gardner flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Gardner is refusing to be controlled, as Lundin sits in half guard.

Lundin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gardner manages to avoid it.

Gardner drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Lundin is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Gardner has just dragged him back down to the mat.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Gardner has eaten all the pies!
You can see the frustration on Lundin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lundin is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Gardner asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Lundin manages to work his way to half guard, despite Gardner's best efforts.
Lundin holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Lundin flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Lundin lands a couple of sideways elbows.
Lundin moves into full guard.
Lundin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Lundin prevents Gardner from getting the reversal.

Gardner wants to hold on but Lundin pushes him away.
Gardner is trying to escape the mount.

Anders Lundin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Gardner bucks up and throws Lundin to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

and Gardner counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lundin won't be happy with that.
Lundin is not content to let Gardner control the position.

Gardner stands up.

Gardner tries to keep at a distance but Lundin has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lundin makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Gardner gets underhooks to prevent Lundin's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anders Lundin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lundin is pressed up against the cage. Gardner has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lundin down to the mat. Lundin avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Gardner is trying to break the clinch but Lundin has him pressed against the cage.
Lundin lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Gardner backwards.

and Lundin counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Gardner!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gardner wants to control but Lundin is having none of it.

Lundin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Lundin decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Gardner gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Gardner wants to sweep but no luck.
Lundin sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gardner's guard.

Gardner slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Lundin won't allow Gardner to get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Lundin feints and as Gardner raises his hands in defense, Lundin changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
