Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Angus Grundi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pruchasvok Nevinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Angus Grundi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pruchasvok Nevinski! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nevinski misses with a wild combination.
Grundi misses with a takedown attempt - Nevinski sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Nevinski throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Grundi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nevinski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Grundi somewhat. Grundi shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nevinski is trying to defend but Grundi finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Grundi is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Nevinski wants to get back to his feet. Grundi is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Grundi seems to be looking for submissions.
Grundi is working for a kimura but Nevinski is defending it quite comfortably.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grundi missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Nevinski pushes Grundi off looking to stand but Grundi dives back in and keeps control.
Grundi is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Grundi drops an elbow to the side of Nevinski's head. Grundi is working for a submission of some sort.
Nevinski wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice strikes from Grundi there. Grundi lands strikes from half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Grundi missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Grundi prevents Nevinski from standing back up.
Grundi is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Grundi is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Nevinski to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Grundi throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Grundi throwing strikes from guard but Nevinski blocks nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grundi pushing down on Nevinski's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Grundi not landing any meaningful shots this time. Grundi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nevinski is just riding it out for now. Grundi eventually gives up the hold. Grundi is looking for a kimura but Nevinski is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Grundi to get the leverage. Grundi wants to work for an arm triangle but Nevinski is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Nevinski wants to get back to his feet. Nevinski regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Grundi.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grundi distracts Nevinski with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Grundi throwing strikes from guard but Nevinski blocks nicely. This has been an exciting period of action! Grundi is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Grundi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Grundi won't allow Nevinski to get back to his feet. Nevinski has momentary wrist control but Grundi slips an elbow through the middle. Grundi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Grundi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Grundi is looking to work some ground and pound but Nevinski has wrist control. Grundi thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Grundi works a leg free and moves into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Angus Grundi dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
No luck for Grundi with that takedown attempt. Grundi fails to land the takedown. Grundi takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Angus Grundi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nevinski throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Grundi on the side of the head. Grundi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nevinski circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Angus Grundi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nevinski misses with a straight left. A jab from Nevinski misses. Nevinski fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Grundi is out of range. Grundi has a takedown stuffed. Grundi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Nevinski. Nevinski bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Grundi's head backwards. Grundi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Nevinski sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Nevinski throws the kick towards the body but Grundi avoids it. Grundi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nevinski circles away. Nevinski slaps away a takedown attempt from Grundi, before circling back to the center of the mat. Nevinski throws a right hand that Grundi ducks under and follows up with a left that Grundi also avoids with ease.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grundi takes one on the button. Grundi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nevinski circles away. Nevinski lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Grundi shoots in but Nevinski avoids the takedown attempt easily. Nevinski connects with the punch. Nevinski scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Nevinski connects with a body shot that sends Grundi's belly button to the back. Grundi dives in and grabs Nevinski's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nevinski pushes down on Grundi's head and hops out. Nevinski dips to his left and cracks Grundi with an uppercut! Grundi fails to land the takedown. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nevinski lands with a nice combination. Grundi backs away looking to recover. Grundi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nevinski's waist but Nevinski gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Grundi off to one side. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nevinski tries a head kick but it misses.
Grundi gets the takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grundi is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Nevinski looks calm but he's in trouble here. Grundi gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Nevinski is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Grundi lets go of the hold and Nevinski can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Angus Grundi!
