Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lolo Pepe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holmes's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, "Unsettling Differences" by Blue Smock Nancy. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Holmes is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Pepe's half guard.
Pepe keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Holmes in particular looking to stall.

Pepe wants to control but Holmes is having none of it.

Holmes misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Holmes thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Pepe is trying desperately to improve position.
Pepe tries to lock up and control but Holmes gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The referee warns Pepe that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Pepe gets back to half guard.

Pepe wants to control but Holmes passes into side.

Holmes in side control, throwing shots but Pepe defends.
Holmes throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Pepe is trying to control Holmes's posture but Holmes avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pepe is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Holmes is staying active.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Pepe takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Holmes decides to take the fight back to the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Holmes tries to clinch up.
Holmes throws a head kick that misses.
Pepe fails to land with a series of punches.
Holmes keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pepe.
Holmes swings for the body but Pepe moves out of range.

Holmes walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Holmes throws a head kick but Pepe moves out of range.

Pepe gets tackled into the cage by Holmes. Holmes maintains the clinch.

Holmes turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Holmes stands up and beckons Pepe to his feet.
Holmes misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Pepe counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Holmes counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Holmes.
Pepe is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Pepe has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Holmes manages to break the clinch.

Pepe checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Pepe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Pepe lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Holmes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Holmes avoids a punch combination nicely.
Holmes wants to clinch up but Pepe keeps it at a distance.
Pepe misses with a few strikes there.
Pepe connects with the punch.
Pepe scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Holmes closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pepe did well to prevent Holmes getting side control.
Holmes seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pepe does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pepe is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Holmes pulls his head out easily.
Pepe tries to kick Holmes off in order to stand up. Holmes Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Holmes creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Pepe sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Holmes decides to stand up, so the ref orders Pepe to his feet.

Holmes takes the fight into the clinch.

Holmes has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pepe uses from the top position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Holmes lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Pepe!

Pepe reaches up and pulls Holmes towards him, trying to control the position. Holmes manages to get a guillotine from the mount though! This could be big trouble for Pepe! Pepe tries to roll over - now Holmes is on the bottom but the guillotine is really deep and Pepe has to tap out! Great work there by Holmes!
