Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jima Jammy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ginger Root (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Root has chosen Viva la Vida as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jima Jammy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ginger Root! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Root with a poor takedown and Jammy counters with a low kick, right behind Root 's knee. A head kick misses from Jammy. Root throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jammy takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Root shoots in for a double leg but Jammy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jammy connects with a single shot there. A jab from Jammy finds it's way through Root's defenses. Jammy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Root with a poor takedown and Jammy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jima Jammy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ginger Root. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jammy fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Root has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Root on the wrong end of a nice jab. A head kick from Jammy lands but Root takes it in his stride. Root lands a two punch combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jammy throws a left that rocks Root and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Jammy dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Root regain composure!
Root is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Jammy is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Root is still in real trouble! Can Jammy finish him? Root looks to move to half guard but instead Jammy has passed into mount! Damn! Jammy in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jammy content just to control the position here. Root is looking to get to half guard. Jammy scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Root?
Jammy controlling the position easily from mount. Root seems to have recovered his senses. Root sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Root is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jammy pulls his head out easily. Root looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Root actively working from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Root tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Jammy has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Root is trying to escape the mount.
Jammy controlling the position easily from mount. Root keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Root is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jammy looking to control and managing it successfully. Root is trying to escape the mount.
Jammy tries to control but Root wriggling away. Root bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Root is looking to work some ground and pound but Jammy has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Root throws a strike but Jammy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Root looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jammy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Jammy wants to control from the top but Root keeps moving. Root is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jammy defends well. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Root is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Jammy has his hands clasped together but Root extends an breaks Jammy's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Root.
