Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Desmond Grey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quan Raiden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raiden is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Boss Battle. On his way into the cage it seems that Desmond Grey has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Desmond Grey seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grey connects with a solid leg kick.
Grey moves out of range as Raiden strikes.
Raiden shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Raiden bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Raiden punishes Grey's body with a nice straight punch.
Nice shot by Raiden.
Raiden shoots in but no luck this time.
Raiden throws a series of punches but Grey moves out of range.
Raiden tries to clinch up but Grey circles away and keeps his distance.
Grey cracks Raiden with an open hand slap.
Grey swings for the body but Raiden moves out of range.
A bone on bone clash there as Grey blocks the leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Grey wants to clinch up but Raiden keeps it at a distance.

Grey waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Raiden.

Raiden tries a knee to the head but Grey blocks it.

Grey closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Grey lands in his opponent's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Grey prevents Raiden from getting back to his feet.
Grey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Raiden swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grey wants to take a breather but Raiden is having none of it.

Grey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Raiden's waist but Raiden gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Grey off to one side.
Raiden takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Grey feints and then cracks Raiden's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Raiden down.

Raiden's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Grey connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Raiden scrambles back to his feet.

Grey lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Grey sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
